Since October 2023, nearly all school buildings in Gaza have been damaged or destroyed, disrupting the education of 764,978 school-aged children and affecting 25,184 teachers.

About the cluster

The oPt Education Cluster brings together UN agencies and national and international organisations to coordinate Education in Emergencies across the occupied Palestinian territory. It is co-led by UNICEF and Save the Children and is accountable for both Gaza and the West Bank, including East Jerusalem. Partners deliver learning through Temporary Learning Spaces, psychosocial support, and learning materials.
